An individual's personality represents their true self
or soul. In other words, it encompasses the entire nature of an individual.
According to psychology, personality refers to an
individual's dynamic character that manifests itself in his actions and conduct.
Personality is the mixture of a person's psychological
and physical traits that make him/her unique. In addition to his behavioral
tendencies, his intellectual qualities, and his emotional disposition, he is
defined by his personality.
Personality Disorder
Individuals who behave in an exaggerated, unusual or abnormal way, even when no
stressful events are occurring, are said to be suffering from
chronic maladaptive,
inflexible, and recognisable behavioral patterns.
There may or may not be discrete episodes of mental illness associated with a
disordered personality. However, they increase an individual's vulnerability to
certain diseases.
